Unhinged Kayak Race (Drainage Ditch)

It’s hard not to smile

Watching these 3 adrenaline junkies with a deathwish

Rip through a drainage ditch together on their kayaks

Sure there’s a risk of permanent disfigurement -

But they make it look so fun

It’s absolute mayhem and yet the footage is so stable

We’ve come a long way since the first action cameras

The Power of Now | (Life-Changer)

Breakfast. I should be enjoying this,

but I can’t stop my mind from wandering.

Remember that job offer I turned down years ago?

What if I’d taken it?

Maybe I wouldn’t be stuck in this rut.

Mom’s birthday is next week.

Did I order her gift?

What if it doesn’t arrive in time?

I should call her.

But I don’t want to worry her with my stress.

That project deadline next month—

am I going to be able to finish it?

Will this be the thing that finally gets me fired?

I should have made different choices.

Maybe the future wouldn’t seem so daunting.

I need to stop worrying.

But what if I can’t?...”

Sound familiar?

If you have an active mind like me you’ve likely run around your whole life thinking

Thinking about last week, yesterday, tomorrow, next year

This book will show you how to turn down the anxious inner monologue

And focus on the most important moment of your life:

The moment of NOW

10 Second Positivity Challenge

Speaking of your thoughts… I have a challenge for you

But only if you want to experience a wonderful shift in your reality

First a little backstory:

I was having some challenges in my business last year

Winter bike sales were slow (go figure)

Lost a couple good people

I was pretty stressed

One night, out with some friends for dinner

I casually throw out a joke - at my friend’s expense

For a split second I notice the hurt expression on his face

The conversation continues

But that look in his eyes haunts me for days

Why did I say that?

That’s not who I am, is it?

How can I be better?

—-

We have little control over most of life’s random events

The one thing we can control is our thoughts

Just like the cute illustration above

The guy focusing on the cold ugly view out of the bus

Well he’s having a shitty time

The guy focusing on the good parts -

He’s having a great time

I was focused on some negative things, the stress

And that bled over into other parts of my life

Which is how some negative things came out of my mouth

To fight it, I came up with this 10 second positivity challenge:

Anytime I catch myself speaking or thinking negatively

I will immediately drop down and do 10 pushups,

Then immediately reframe the thought in the positive

It looks like this:

Negative Thought: “That constant airplane noise is so annoying”

*Do 10 pushups

New thought: “Wow, I’m so grateful we live in a time that air travel at 400mph is a part of every day life!”

“Also grateful for some random pushups in my day”

Which thought do you think has a more positive impact on your day

Your demeanor, your surroundings,

And the rest of your thoughts?

I did this and the results were absolutely life-changing

I was happier, fitter, and the best part?

My friends joined in and we kept each other accountable

You would have to try so hard to have a bad day while doing this

So try this challenge out for a day, a week, a month

Substitute another exercise if you need

Something good for you

Air squats, wall sit, situps - whatever

Because our attitude is contagious

And also has a snowball effect on everything in our life

Let me know how it goes for you

Hope you enjoyed these picks,

Stay positive,
