Love it

This is a great bike. It’s fun to ride, it handles well, it has good components and a good warranty! I think this is the all around best bike out there for the money. Try and find another bike with all those features for this price. You can’t!

Superhuman F5 with Touring Package: 5-Star Baja Blast!

As a 60-year-old with three back surgeries under my belt, I never thought I'd be conquering epic rides like the Baja Divide. But thanks to the incredible Superhuman F5 with touring package, that's exactly what I'm doing!

I'm currently 1,300 miles into a journey from Los Angeles all the way to Mérida, Yucatán. The F5 has been my trusty companion, powering me through everything from scenic coastal stretches to the unforgiving Baja Divide. Over 200 miles of that brutal trail were tackled with surprising comfort and ease thanks to the F5's:

Superb suspension: My back hasn't complained once, even after hours in the saddle. This bike soaks up bumps like a dream, making long days a breeze.

Powerful motor: Those climbs that would have left me winded on a regular bike are now a breeze. The F5's motor gives me the extra push I need to conquer any hill, keeping the adventure enjoyable.

Touring package: This kit is a lifesaver! Having the extra storage space and creature comforts makes self-supported touring a breeze. I've got everything I need to stay comfortable and focused on the ride.

With another 2,800 miles to go on the Trans-Mexico Trail, I feel completely confident that the F5 can handle anything I throw at it. This bike is more than just a machine; it's an enabler. It's allowed me to pursue this incredible journey despite my past injuries, and I'm having the time of my life!

If you're looking for an e-bike that can handle anything you throw at it, and is comfortable enough for epic adventures, look no further than the Superhuman F5 with touring package. It gets a full 5 stars from this happy (and pain-free!) rider!

FLX F5

Very happy with the FLX F5 electric mountain bike. It is nimble, responsive, and very quiet. With the mid-drive motor it rides very much like a non-electric mountain bke, which I like better than a rear drive motor (which I also have in my Gladiator 1)). I only have ridden 22 miles, all on flat terrain, so I haven't put it to the test on the rough canyon trails and hills. But I will do that soon. I anticipate that it will perform well there. The website specs say it weighs 61 pounds. They don't mention it but that 61 pounds would be with the bigger battery and with the touring package incljuded (rack, lights, fenders, phone holder, and bottle rack holder). So the bike without the touring package or the larger battery would be a few pounds less than that.

New Trail 5

This Trail 5 is even better than the last Trail 5 I purchased. I got the features of the touring model this time and the Bafang motor is perfectly quiet. Probably the best eBike on the market for the money.

Rocket Ship

After riding mountain bikes for 30 years I finally got to a point where I needed a little help. I was not expecting a rocket ship but I’m so glad that I found the blade and I’m able to still ride the way I did in my 20s.

Blade 2.0

Bike was shipped on time and delivered in good shape.
Service after the sale sucks as expected. Two inquiries to service unanswered. I worked though it on my own.

Blade 2.0 is a good e-bike

This bike is very capable and had many of the features that I was looking for. The internally geared hub and carbon belt drive at this price point are quite remarkable. The bike only comes in one size, so plan to do a little tweaking with different stems and bars to get your configuration dialed in. Also, a suspension seat post like the Kinekt is a must. Rear brake feels a little mushy, I am hoping a quick bleed will take care of that but not something I expect to have to do on a new bike. Somehow I got lucky and got a UART protocol motor, which will allow me to do some programming and customization of the parameters to suite my riding style.

Over all I would recommend and am pleased with the bike.

Best Bike I have ever owned!

Took the bike into the trails in mission viejo and Ladera ranch and had a blast. Good power and solid overall bike. The rohloff transmission is next level!
Coming from the OG F5 trail, the power, MT5 brakes and fox shocks are next level!

FLX bikes rock!!

First, shout out to Jonathon and Mark at FLX. They've been a great help in explaining how the electronics work, how to get the rear tire off of a Blade 2 after a flat, etc. I'm fortunate to live near FLX. And also unfortunate because I can't seem to resist buying another bike when I go into the shop. I started with an F5 Trail more than a year ago. Great bike. Then saw the Blade 2.0. Gave it a test ride and bought one. Also a great bike. They are both a blast to ride and well put together with good components. The fat tires help with the torn up road conditions of San Diego. I visited the shop again and saw the Babymaker. My white Babymaker arrived a few days later. Very different feel from the two EMTB's. More "nimble" and responsive. Very fun to ride on smoother pavement, but less forgiving of road bumps and divots. It rides like my "regular" road bike but with a power boost. The EMTB's spoil me with their more forgiving ride. All three have plenty of power to make it up Laurel Street (the street featured in Top Gun - think steep). The disc brakes inspire confidence going down Laurel, knowing I'll be able to stop before crashing into the airport. I've recommended FLX to friends and will continue to do so. Thank you FLX. I'm OLDE, (73) but your bikes got me back into riding and I now look forward to my work commute of 34 miles RT a day - so much more fun than hitting the gym!! I highly recommend buying an FLX and seeing how much fun biking is. "Just do it."

Worth the wait. Get a ride wrap and new tires

I like some of the other indiegogo backers had to wait a while for the bikes to arrive (Weapon X for me).

The bike is heavy, but when riding it it doesn't feel heavy at all. The suspension takes a bit to get dialed in, but it is a nice suspension with a lot of settings to play with. Once dialed in it's butter smooth.

The motor is a beast. Compared with a Specialize turbo Levo I've been riding for a few years at about power level 2 on the Weapon equals turbo on the Levo. I was surprised by the smoothness on the torque delivery. I wish there was a way to tune it like the older BBS style motors or an an app to customize parameters. Mostly, i want level 1 to be lower power and spread out the levels a bit more.

Things you'll want to change right away (all personal preference and trail specific):
The seat is a little soft, but it is comfortable. It will get swapped soon.
Tires and inner tube that come on it are weak. Colorado trails destroyed them on the first ride. Swapped with a set of Versus Downhill casing tubless (the yellow accent tires look sweet with the white and green/yellow accent DVO). The conversion was simple and wheels are holding up.
The grips are uncomfortable, but that's a personal thing. Easy swap.

You'll want a ride wrap. The paint is gorgeous but it can chip. Ride wrap will be scaning my bike in the next few weeks to make a cusom set. I would suggest that upgrade when it comes available. Though SuperHuman could speed up the process by giving them the CAD models (hint hint).

2 for 1 Review

Let me start w/ this. The wait was long, but Rob and the team kept us up to date with nearly monthly updates, and I applaud them for not compromising, and trying to build the perfect emtb!

To give context, we mostly ride gravel/concrete trails, and I'll use this bike to commute to work. I love the moderate single track as well, but that is about 20% of my riding.

As for the bikes, we ordered a Weapon (S) for my wife (5'2") and a Weapon X for me (6'4") The small Weapon, having 29" wheels is a tad too big for my wife, so I'd say their sizing chart is accurate. Probably fine if you're on easy trails, but if you need to put your foot down, or step off quickly, this bike might be a bit too big for you. The Large for me is good.

What we both love about these bikes:

The bike is beautiful, once assembled, just some minor tweaking to the derailer cable adjustment screws and the shifting dialed right in. Quick shifts, no clicking, spot on. The suspension is supple, yet firm. I'm on the high side of the weight limit (265lbs) and I have all the adjustment in the suspension I need, w/ out bottoming out. I'm not dropping off 10 ft drops mind you, but I will try to go airborne at my local single track when the opportunity presents itself. My wife went from a hard tail to this and the suspension alone may be enough for her to keep this bike even though it's a bit big for her. Dropper post is smooth as butter, seat is comfortable for both of us, and we both previously had comfort saddles on our other emtbs, so nice job on the seats. Motors: As for the Weapon, I jumped on hers, and it's night and day between the two. Power is more than adequate on the Weapon, and it's virtually silent. As for the Weapon X, as mentioned by Rob and team during development of this new motor, the sound is definitely noticeable, but does incorporate a metal gear, so probably worth the trade-off. As for power, I can engage the throttle and accelerate up a mild hill to around 23/24mph. On flats, right up to 28mph, and again, I'm 265lbs. I warn my friends, when they test it out, to hold on so they don't get bucked off when they accelerate. Battery range based on a few hundred miles surpasses our other bikes we went on "treks" with. I can ride back and forth to work ~30 miles round trip, and 2nd trip I took, I used the throttle extensively and had more that 30% battery left. Subsequent rides, riding somewhat normal on levels 1,2, and occasional 3, only used 25%. Range anxiety is gone w/ this bike.

What can be improved, and I hope you can accomplish this, and even be able to make updates to existing Weapons, and if you can, you will have knocked it out of the park.

So again, for context, we've both been "trekking" around on a very reputable emtb, and for us, even at level 1, the assist one the Weapons should be about half as much as it is on level one, and adjust up from there for the other 4 modes. Lastly, power continues to the tire for a split second after you quit peddling. It's fine on easy rides/trails, but on technical ones, it does take some getting use, so keep that in mind.

Hoping you can fine turn the power profiles with Bafang, and if so, this bike will be flawless. I'm giving it a 5-star review anyway because so much of this bike is amazing, and I don't want to discourage anyone from not experiencing this bike. I'm hopeful Rob and team, and their unrelenting pursuit to bring us the perfect emtb will have them fine-tuning the motor/controller in the future, and providing us updates.

A beast promised….

The wait almost unbearable - the timeline updates horrendously horrible - but the bike is everything promised and more!

Received the bike Tuesday August 20 - put it together and rode around property an neighborhood on Wednesday making adjustments

Off to the trail early today and cannot say enough about this gnarly beast!! I was/is more than worth the wait! I cannot believe how well this bike reacts handled and feels - even without assist and the weight it is incredible - with assist it just flat screams - I will make more adjustments as I go to the suspension to fine tune - but the machine is just plain awesome!!!

The only think I will change is the seat - already changed pedals

Thanks guys for your dedication and hard work and for listening to my frustrations - all the crew has been extremely polite

Again - job well done!! Oh - and I also love the Babymaker!!! Just at 1000 miles now and needing fresh tires

More updates as time goes by!!
