FAQs
Is there an LCD Display?
No, the design ethos of the Photon is 'only what is necessary and nothing more.' We want to give you the cleanest stealthiest ebike ever made. There's a multi-function button built into the frame used to turn the bike on, display your battery level and change pedal assist levels.
Will the Photon be delivered assembled?
The Photon comes 95% assembled. All you’ll need to do is install the front wheel, pedals and handlebars. This can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour depending on your skill level. Of course we recommend having a local bike shop inspect your handywork before riding.
Can I ride the Photon in the rain?
Yes! The Photon performs in even the worst weather. It is rainproof, but we don't recommend going swimming with it. We always recommend you give it a good wipe down after any wet rides. Take care of your Photon and it will take care of you.
Is there room for a water bottle mount?
Yes, the Photon has a standard water bottle mount on the downtube. It does not come with a water bottle holder.
What eBike Class is the Photon?
You can configure your Photon as a Class 1, 2 or 3 eBike to fit your liking. Class 3 ebikes are limited to 750w of power, 28mph top speed and no throttle. To be Class 3 compliant you would simply remove the throttle. For class 2, keep the throttle but limit the speed to 20mph. For Class 1, remove the throttle and limit the speed to 20mph. Of course you can do none of these things and ride the Photon on private property or where your local regulations permit.
